Project:
Custom Concrete Driveway Installation – Saugeen Shores
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
For this project on Burnside Street in Saugeen Shores, we installed a custom concrete driveway built for both aesthetics and durability. Because driveways are subjected to daily vehicle weight and the harsh freeze-thaw cycles typical of the Bruce County area, we used heavy rebar reinforcement to ensure the slab remains rigid and resistant to cracking.
To manage the inevitable movement that occurs as the ground settles, we installed saw-cut control joints throughout the surface. These joints create a clean, intentional line that guides the concrete’s movement, protecting the overall slab.
Completed in August 2024, the driveway features a custom swirl finish. Beyond giving the entrance a unique, high-end look, the texture provides excellent traction for vehicles and improved safety for foot traffic in wet or icy conditions. It is a solid, professional addition to the home that is built to stand on for years to come.
