How long before I can walk on my new concrete walkway?
For standard foot traffic, we typically recommend waiting 24 to 48 hours depending on the temperature and humidity.
While the surface may feel hard, the internal curing process takes longer; avoid heavy equipment or furniture for at least 7 days.
How do you prevent concrete sidewalks from cracking in Ontario’s winter?
We use a high-PSI mix designed specifically for the freeze-thaw cycles of Grey and Bruce Counties.
Strategically placed control joints are cut into the slab to ensure that if the ground shifts, the concrete expands and contracts in a controlled manner without unsightly spider-web cracks.

How thick should a residential sidewalk be?
Our standard pour is 4 inches thick over a compacted granular sub-base.
For walkways that may see heavier loads, such as riding mowers or small tractors, we can reinforce the slab with rebar or wire mesh to ensure “Solid Ground” durability.
