Custom Entrance & Reinforced Steps – Sauble Beach
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
For this project in Sauble Beach, the homeowners needed a functional yet high-end entrance to complement a new addition to their home. We designed a custom entrance with reinforced steps that prioritizes both structural longevity and clean aesthetics.
Building a lasting entrance in a sandy, coastal environment like Sauble Beach requires precise preparation. We utilized laser level grading to ensure perfect water runoff away from the new foundation, followed by a heavy-gauge rebar grid to provide the internal strength needed to prevent shifting over time.
To finish the project, we applied a non-slip broom finish for year-round safety and utilized hand-tooled control joints. These joints aren’t just for aesthetics; they are strategically placed to manage the natural expansion of the concrete, ensuring the entrance remains crack-free through Ontario’s harsh freeze-thaw cycles.
