Custom Concrete Patio and Shed Slab Installation – Hanover
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
For this project on 26th Avenue in Hanover, we installed a custom concrete patio and a dedicated shed slab, both built to the same high standards for longevity and utility. Because these slabs would be supporting both patio furniture and heavy shed equipment, we used heavy rebar reinforcement to ensure the concrete remains rigid and crack-resistant.
We started with laser level grading, which is essential for ensuring that water drains away from the shed and the patio surface, protecting the foundation of the structures. To manage the long-term movement of the concrete, we installed precisely spaced saw-cut control joints.
Completed in June 2024, the patio features a mix of finishes: a swirl pattern for the main lounging area to add character, and a professional broom finish for the shed access area to provide extra traction. It is a functional and beautiful addition to the yard that is built to stand on for years to come.
