Project:
Durable Concrete Boat Dock – Georgian Bluffs
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
For this project on Presqu’ile Road in Georgian Bluffs, we installed a custom concrete boat dock designed to stand up to the unique demands of a waterfront setting. Given the proximity to the water, the structure needs to be exceptionally stable, so we used heavy rebar reinforcement to provide maximum structural strength and prevent any structural shifting.
To manage the natural expansion and contraction caused by changing moisture levels and temperatures, we installed hand-tooled control joints. This technique creates a clean, precise break point that keeps the dock looking professional and prevents unwanted cracking.
We finished the surface with a consistent broom finish. This is essential for a boat dock, as it provides a non-slip, high-traction surface that stays safe even when wet. By focusing on both the deep-level structural support and the surface safety details, we delivered a dock that these homeowners can rely on for years to come.
