Comprehensive Concrete Driveway, Walkway, and Patio Installation – Georgian Bluffs
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
For this extensive project on Presqu’ile Road in Georgian Bluffs, we built a cohesive exterior living and parking area that includes a new concrete driveway, front sidewalk, and patio. We began the project with laser level grading, which is the most effective way to ensure precise slopes for water drainage, protecting both the concrete and the home’s foundation from moisture issues.
To guarantee the structure could handle the heavy load of vehicles and constant foot traffic, we used thick rebar reinforcement throughout the entire pour. We also employed a ‘belt and braces’ approach to crack control by using both hand-tooled and saw-cut control joints. This ensures that as the ground shifts throughout the year, the concrete is guided to move in a controlled, invisible way.
Completed in October 2024, the entire surface features a durable broom finish. This creates a clean, uniform look while providing the necessary grip for safety during the wet and snowy months in Georgian Bluffs. We are proud to have delivered a durable, high-performance space that these homeowners can stand on for years to come.
